How it works

Dry hire, which means you pick the gear up and bring it back yourself. There’s no delivery option yet and no minimum. Most rentals take about ten minutes at each end.

Booking

Pick a package or a single piece, choose a pickup window and a return window, and pay by card. Bookings open from tomorrow up to six months out. If you need something today, send a text or an email and we’ll sort it out by hand.

Before your first pickup there are two short things to do on your phone: read and sign the one-page rental agreement, and upload a photo of your ID. Both stay on file, so the second time you rent it’s just dates and a card.

Pickup

Handoffs happen every day in two windows, 9 to 11am and 5 to 7pm, near downtown Bellingham. The exact address is in your confirmation email. Bring a car with the back seats down for the full rig; the subs are 64 pounds each and the tops are 34.

We go through the list together, take a few photos of each piece, and count the cables. That takes a couple of minutes and it’s what protects both of us if something comes back different.

The deposit

The day before pickup, a hold goes on the card you booked with: $500 for the full rig, $750 for anything with the DJ deck, $100 for single pieces. It’s a hold, not a charge, and it drops off when the gear is back and checked.

Return

Come back in the window you chose. We look over the gear, compare it with the pickup photos, and release the hold. If something is damaged or missing, the repair or replacement cost comes out of the hold, with the photos and a note sent to you the same day. A return after your window counts as an extra day at the day rate.

Cancelling

Cancel from your account page. Up to 48 hours before pickup you get a full refund. Inside 48 hours you get half back. A booking that isn’t picked up isn’t refunded.
